Graduate academic life at St. Jerome’s University is a place where highly motivated students bring a depth and breadth of experience that enriches academic life for all those involved. It will further open up a world full of wonder and wide-ranging questions, and connect you with a high quality learning experience, supported by a complement of highly qualified instructors.
We are home to the unique graduate theology program, the Master of Catholic Thought (MCT), a conjoint master’s-level degree with the University of Waterloo. This program in Catholic theology offers you the opportunity to engage with in-house scholars exploring the role of theology in responding to the ecological crisis, Eastern Christian theology, ecumenical thought, Catholic social ethics, our historical understanding of Catholic life and thought and the sociological and political impact of theological insights. You will also engage with a wide array of visiting scholars whose courses will significantly expand the horizons of your thinking. MCT is offered on a part-time basis to people working in the areas of health care, education, social services, and pastoral care.
As well, St. Jerome’s University celebrates the fact that faculty in the departments of History, Religious Studies, English, and Sociology teach graduate courses and supervise graduate students.
